History[edit]

At the time of its origin in 1952, Faculty of Economics and Managements consisted only of two departments (Department of Organisation of Agricultural Production and Department of Agricultural Economics). With expanding the number of the disciplines taught at FEM, other departments and research bodies were established. The decision of the Accreditation Commission of the Czech government (June 26, 1998) listed FEM as one of the best economics faculties in the Czech Republic. FEM has been ranked in group 1A - the best economics faculties in the Czech Republic.[14] FEM has 12 departments in 2016. Unique laboratory for research on human behavior (HUBRU) on FEM was opened in 2016.[15][16]
