Faculty of computers and artificial intelligence Cairo university
Faculty of computers and artificial intelligence in Cairo university (formerly: faculty of computers and information) is one of the major faculties inside Cairo university. And one of the pilot faculties of its kind in Egypt and the region. The faculty grants BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in computer science. It's famous by its competitive ACM competitions teams who always have high ranking in national and regional competitions and qualify to the international competition ACM ICPC.[1][2] [3] [4][5][6].
History[edit]
The faculty of computers and artificial intelligence has been inaugurated in 1996 as faculty of computers and information. Its name has been changed to faculty of computers and artificial intelligence in 2019[7].
Study system[edit]
The students study the same curriculum for first two years, afterwards, they have to choose an area to be more specialized one on third year. While in fourth year they choose another specialization area along with the first one.
Faculty departments[edit]
The faculty previously had four departments, but the last year a fifth department has been created[8]
