Falk Plonus (born 1986) is a German engineer specialising in cybersecurity for operational technology (OT) and its convergence with information technology in industrial production. He works on the protection of industrial control and production environments against cyberattacks, speaks at industry events on the subject and has published in the field of electrical engineering. Before moving into industrial software and security, he conducted research in high voltage and high current technology at the University of Rostock.

Falk focuses on securing production and energy systems, where industrial control networks are increasingly connected to corporate IT. His work covers security information and event management (SIEM) adapted to OT environments, continuous monitoring of industrial networks, detection of anomalies in real time, and the management of access rights and user authentication in production plants.
