Fantastic 40 - A Collection of Micro Stories (ISBN 9788192569086) is a 2014 micro story book by Reetwika Banerjee, an alumnus of Symbiosis International University, Pune. It was released by All About Books Global Publishers [1] in May 2014.[2] 'Fantastic 40' is the author's debut title which is well received by the readers and reviewers.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]
Summary
The author Reetwika Banerjee [14][15] has challenged the traditional popularity of novels by the enormous time that every reader spends in finishing a novel or a long story. Thus, she came up with an interesting concept of 'Micro' stories in the book Fantastic 40. As per author Reetwika Banerjee [16] a 'Micro' story is typically shorter than a standard short story, comprising less than approximately 500 words per story. The context sometimes revolves around a glimpse of thought, a whisker of emotions or a quick perspective depiction in the form of crispy stories. The book [17] contains 40 stories encircling various moods of life mostly governed by the nine emotions of human life. The story backdrops and characters in the book are claimed to be purely fictional; however, readers may relate to them easily. The author has mostly targeted the young adults who enjoy reaching climaxes in a single breath.[18][19]
