Farad, California
Farad is a former settlement in Nevada County, California.[1] Farad is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad, 1 mile (1.6 km) south-southwest of Mystic.[1] The Truckee River crosses Farad halfway between Truckee, CA and Reno, NV.[2]
The Farad Hydroelectric Plant was built alongside the Truckee River at 39°25′11″N 120°01′55″W / 39.4196304°N 120.0318647°W
