Farah Abad Street (with the former name of "Pirozi"), located in the east of Tehran, is one of the most important streets of the Dushan Tepe and Niro Airi neighborhoods. It is located in Region 14 of Tehran Municipality. This street goes from the West to Shahada Square (Former Jaleh), or Dushan Tepe Gate, and from the East to Shaheed Kolahdoz Square (the end of Air Force 3 Meter Street) leads.

Farah Abad Street connects many big and small neighborhoods, some of which are very old. Saddastgah and Chaharsaddastgah neighborhood, as well as Nurse and Abu Dhar Boulevard are other important neighborhoods of this street. In Farah Abad Street, many places with the name of Niruhawai can be seen; From the barracks to the weapons manufacturing center and sports halls and reception halls and streets and alleys that are all related to the Air Force Quarter.[1]

History

Dushan Tepe Street or Farah Abad goes back to the time when Shah Qajar decided to build a road for the use of a hunting ground and Dushan Tepe Palace. Farah Abad Street is the same as Dushan Tepe Road, which starts from Dushan Tepe Gate (Shahada Square]), now it has become one of the main streets in the east of Tehran. This street prospered in the 1950s due to the location of the air force barracks in it. During the Iranian Revolution in 1357, the events that happened on this street played an important role in the developments of that time.[2] The crossing of Imam Ali Highway through this street has slightly changed its old structure and shape.[3]
