Farah Hussain is an Indian civil servant who qualified for the Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in 2015, securing an All India Rank of 267.[1][2] According to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) allocation list for that year, she was appointed to the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax).[3]
Early life and education
Hussain hails from Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan, India.[4] She pursued a five-year integrated law degree at the Government Law College, Mumbai, and later practiced as a criminal lawyer before attempting the UPSC examination.[5]

In 2016, following the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2015, Hussain was allocated to the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax).[3] Several media outlets described her as an IAS officer; however, official allocation records confirm her service as IRS (IT).[6]
