Farina Situmorang (born 18 June 1982) is an Indonesian entrepreneur. She is the co-founder and CEO of Pensieve, a company engaged in technology around artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics based in Southeast Asia.

Early life
Farina was born to Indonesian parents in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 18 June 1982. Her maternal grandfather was Brigadier General Washington Siahaan[1] of the Indonesian Army. She has two younger brothers, one of whom is Gerald Situmorang[2], a musician and bassist in the band Barasuara.
Farina completed her elementary and high school education in Jakarta. After completing her high school education, in 1999, she continued her studies at the University of Indonesia, majoring in Communication Studies and obtaining a BA in 2003. She took a master's program and earned an MBA at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2010.[3]
Business career
Farina started her career with Nestlé and then spent most of her career in marketing and sales for technology companies in Indonesia, Canada, and the US, notably IBM, Microsoft, Blackberry Limited, Bislr Inc., and WhatsApp. Following her return to Indonesia in 2013, she was appointed the Head of the Digital Campaign for the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla campaign.[4][5] Eventually, she became a Delivery Unit Lead - Agriculture Policy in the transition team in 2014. She has also worked with HARA and founded and led her own business, Catalyst Strategy[6], from 2013 to 2020. Farina founded Pensieve in 2021 and has since expanded the business.[7][8]

Catalyst Talks aimed to be a platform for inspirational leaders to share their views, ideas, and narratives with future generations of entrepreneurs, founders, and professionals, which aired on YouTube & Spotify. Farina and frequent collaborator Andini Effendi mainly hosted the podcast. The list of some of the most notable guest speakers includes Chatib Basri, Gita Wirjawan, Emil Salim, Ganjar Pranowo, Susi Pudjiastuti, Muhammad Lutfi, Jusuf Kalla, Sutiyoso, Faisal Basri, Ahmad Sahroni, Yunarto Wijaya, Keenan Pearce, and Rhenald Kasali.
