Farmacia Central
The Farmacia Central was founded in 1942 and is still operational today. It is considered to be one of the longest-running pharmacies in the city of Humacao. [citation needed] The founder, Julio C. Garriga, first opened the doors of the pharmacy at Noya Y Hernandez #12 East in a building that was divided into four stores. The pharmacy moved to a bigger location across the street when the owner's son, Julio E. Garriga, became a pharmacist and, after a while, became owner of the pharmacy. Now the store has moved back to its original location, taking over the whole building, renovating it and giving it a classic colonial look. [citation needed]
