Farmgirl Flowers

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Farmgirl Flowers is a retail gifting, flower, and event company based in San Francisco, California. Farmgirl Flowers, also known as Farmgirl or FGF.

Farmgirl was founded in November, 2010, by Founder and CEO, Christina M. Stembel. Ms. Stembel began Farmgirl with personal savings, from her dining room in Russian Hill, and the business has grown to $14.95M in 2017. The company began with service in San Francisco, began expanding throughout the Bay Area, then California, and now delivers everywhere in the continental United States.

Farmgirl wanted to reinvigorate flower design and quality, minimize waste, and take advantage of new capabilities like digital, mobile, and social. Farmgirl is social by design, where what you see is what they get. The focus on product quality ensures that not only does the thought count for gifts, that they are also beautiful and present beautifully on social media, so that the gift can be shared with both the recipient and their friends and family.

Farmgirl wanted to eliminate waste, and pioneered the use of recycled burlap as both an environmental and design element. San Francisco residents and visitors are able to see Farmgirl's bike couriers throughout the city, delivering to local addresses, creating a unique environmental, logistical, and brand element. And, Farmgirl is counter to the trend of independent contractors, instead offering everyone on the team the option of full employment with health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Additionally, Farmgirl invests in high quality customer service, to fulfill Ms. Stembel's goal of building a company that her employees can be proud to work for, build products that people are proud to buy from, and that Farmgirl is a company that people are proud to call business partners. Farmgirl customers can call, email, or use emerging technologies like Facebook Messenger to ask questions, place orders, and check in on delivery status.

As of September, 2018, Farmgirl has 252,000 followers on Instagram, 187,000 fans on Facebook, and Yelp users have given over 1,100 reviews with an average rating of 4.5 stars.
