Farrah Jarral

Farrah Jarral (born 1981) is a British writer, broadcaster and medical doctor.

Jarral studied medicine at Balliol College, Oxford and Imperial College London, as well as anthropology at Harvard as a Fulbright Scholar.[1] Jarral has written on a variety of topics for the BBC website [2] and Guardian. [3] [4] She has written and produced programmes for BBC Radio, including From Savage to Self, a ten-part series on the history of anthropology.[5] She has appeared on various BBC Radio 4 programmes including Pick of the Week [6] [7] and A Good Read. [8] In 2008 Jarral presented a TV documentary for Channel 4 called Osama bin Everywhere.[9] [10]

Jarral has worked as a G.P. partner at Paddington Green Health Centre in London.[11] She raised concerns about the treatment of detainees at Harmondsworth Immigration Removal Centre after the death of 84 year old Alois Dvorzak. [12] [13] [14]
