Fast Connect
Fast Connect is an Australian and Auckland, New Zealand-based utility connection company. It is a private company that has been operating in Australia since 2001 and in New Zealand since 2006. It is a major provider of utility connection services nationally within Australia, and is the largest utility connection service in New Zealand.
The company provides connections for electricity, gas, water, telephone, internet, and pay TV. Fast Connect New Zealand also arranges lawn mowing, insurance, cleaning, and moving services.
The Fast Connect service is nationwide.
Fast Connect Australia
Fast Connect was founded in 1999 [1] by Jon Fahie and Bobbie Fahie, and began operations in Sydney, Australia.
Offering national utility relocation services for electricity, gas, water, telephone, broadband internet, and pay TV, the company quickly became a competitor in the utility relocation market. Fast Connect later relocated to Perth, Australia in 2003, where it currently bases its primary contact center for all Australian customers nationwide.
Fast Connect New Zealand
Fast Connect began operations in New Zealand in December 2006.
The founder of Fast Connect New Zealand, Kelly Munro, heard of a utility connection service in Australia. After researching companies offering this service, she discovered Fast Connect Australia. Munro approached the company in September 2006, requesting a New Zealand franchise. An agreement was made, and Fast Connect became the first nationwide utility connection service company in New Zealand.
Soon after the agreement, Munro partnered with utility companies. The companies quickly took initiative, and by early 2007, Fast Connect was fully operational, offering electricity, telephone, broadband, and pay TV services.
