Main Characters[edit]

September (九月, Jiu Yue): A nine-tailed fox practiced over two hundred years, a young kid among myth characters, the most heroine-like character. She can transform into other creatures but always has the problem of dealing with her nine tails. She works in Maitreya's a company and has been familiar with Xiaotian, Ao Lie, and Yu since school. She is a senior otaku and her idol is Inuyasha, which is a reference to her current human form.

Ao Lie (敖烈): A dragon, third Prince of the West Sea Dragon King, used to be the mount of Tang Sanzang from Journey to the West (White Dragon Horse), over 3000 years old. He also works in the same company as September. Handsome, though his EQ is close to 0, and his love ability is almost negative. He suffered from serious Nezha phobia due to Nezha's slaughter of his siblings in the past. His throat directly leads to the ocean, and his power comes from a dragon ball in his stomach.

Yu (小玉, Xiaoyu): A rabbit, also Chang'e's first Jade Rabbit, unknown age (much older than September). Rich, is the master of more than 80 million rabbits on the moon working for the production of moon cakes and rice cakes. She works in Maitreya's company as well. She is gentle and lovely but dark inside and turns immediately into a violent state when she is irritated.

Guanyin (观音): A Bodhisattva, male, working in Maitreya's company, superior to the rest employees, forced to be Nezha's guardian. He has a powerful light disc behind his head that can be used as a night light, a portal, a portable battery, and a hard drive. He always holds a coffee cup with magic power which is supposed to be a Jade vase in the myth. He likes horses and turning people into horses (Ao Lie was turned into the white dragon horse by him).

Nezha (哪吒): Seems like a young boy but much older than most characters, a primary school student has no expression on his face. Too naughty, he was entrusted to Guanyin by his father Li Jing. His original form is s lotus root, which blossoms when meeting water. He owns a skateboard with fire wheels, a Red Armillary scarf, ability to grow three heads and six arms.

Xiaotian (哮天): A dog belonging to Yang Jian, works in Maitreya's company, absolutely loyal to his master, over 1000 years old. He likes everything related to frisbee, sticking his head out of the window when driving, and being petted (likely to transform when doing so). He's angry when he is not as popular as other furry creatures. He continuously pursues Yu, although driven by his hunting instinct.

Yang Jian (杨戬, Erlang Shen): A god with a third eye on the forehead, master of Xiaotian, especially in favor of furry animals (like September and Yu), running an animal cafe of his own, over 3000 years old. His third eye has multiple functions like Guanyin's disc including projection, RGB light, and X-rays. He often has ambiguity with Guanyin in preference for animals and cooking styles. All of his power comes from the third eye.

Xingtian (刑天): An ancient warrior without a head, owns an axe as his weapon, and works in Maitreya's company, over 5000 years old. He uses his nipples as his eyes, which leads to many problems: too cold in winter, can't see with clothes on, can't use regular glasses or eyeshades (so he uses bras instead).

Jingwei (精卫): Used to be Yan Emperor's little daughter, became a bird after drowning in the sea, had a strong will to fill every water she saw with rocks (which has evolved into a severe obsessive-compulsive disorder), now works in Maitreya's company, looks young but over 5000 years old. She gets bankrupt collecting stones and gets caught stealing rocks from building sites. She always carries her husband, a petrel, on her head, which acts more like a good wife.

Red Boy (红孩儿, Hong Hai Er): Son of the Bull Demon King and Princess Iron Fan, the Sudhana beside Guanyin, student in the same school as Nezha, over 2000 years old. He has a hot temper and is good at using True Samadhi Fire. He always regards Nezha as his opponent and often looks for opportunities to duel, also the savior of Nezha and Longnü when they can't finish their homework. His body temperature is higher than ordinary people, especially in winter.

Longnü (龙女, dragon girl): The youngest daughter of the East Sea Dragon King, the cousin of Ao Lie, was abandoned by her father because she escaped from the Dragon Palace without permission, over 3000 years old. Later, she was saved by Red Boy and served around Guanyin as well. At present, she is in a state of breaking away from his father but not regretting it, also in the same school as Nezha. As one of the dragons, she hates Nezha who once killed dragons. Her throat is also straight to the sea. She is cold on the surface but in fact, favors her cousin Ao Lie.

Bai Ze (白泽): An ancient mythical beast that knows all, over 5000 years old. He has the ability to read others' minds and break the fourth wall as if it's the avatar of the author. His human form exists with old-style glasses and disheveled hair. Writing books but not selling out, he is now adopted by Guanyin as one of his animal collections.
