Fernand Fournier-Aubry

Fernand Fournier-Aubry (November 23, 1901-December 20, 1972) was a French adventurer and writer.

He was born in the Île-de-France in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, which was then in the Seine department. At 19, he travelled to Dakar in Senegal, then part of the colony of French West Africa. He travelled through Africa (1919-1929), the Amazon jungle (1935-1942), the Pacific islands (1942-1954) and Asia (1955-1956).

He died in Nice in 1972, aged 71.
