Fernando Francisco Simeão Rodrigues (born November 26, 1980) is a Brazilian American.
Early Life[edit]
Rodrigues was born on November 26, 1980 in São Luis, Maranhão, Brazil, the son of Joseli Mara Boneto Rodrigues, an agricultural engineer, and Francisco Simeão Rodrigues Neto, a Brazilian business magnate[1], politician (currently serving as a federal senator in Brazil)[2] and philanthropist[3][4][5][6].
Rodrigues has two older sisters, Manuela Boneto Rodrigues (born in 1979[7]) and Gabriela Boneto Rodrigues (born in 1978[8]).
Education[edit]
Rodrigues joined The Citadel Military College in 2001 as a volunteer for the U.S. Marine Corps[9].
Military Service[edit]
On May 1, 2006 Rodrigues reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, and graduated from 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Delta Company platoon 1056 on July 28, 2006. Thereafter he attended the United States Marine Corps School of Infantry, Infantry Training Battalion, Alpha Company located at Camp Geiger, North Carolina.
On September 28th, 2006 he linked up with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines Weapons Company, Mobile Assault Platoon (MAP) / Combined Anti-Armor Team (CAAT), 2nd Marine Division, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina for Operation Mojave Viper, at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms in San Bernardino County, California.
He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, after participating in two campaigns in Iraq. His missions included the capture of several terrorists.[10].
Personal Life[edit]
On April 23, 2012, Rodrigues married Mrs. Stefanie 'SuperGirl / Doc Gee' Guimarães mixed martial arts cage fighter recipient of the Bellator MMA female KO of the Year 2009 Hall of Fame award[11] Burn Notice actress[12] and United States Army 82nd Airborne Division Combat Medic Paratrooper[13].
