Ffion Jolly is a British actress best known for her work on stage with Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory.[1] and on screen in McMafia, Stan Lee's Lucky Man and Requiem.

Early Life[edit]

Jolly was born in Surrey to an English father and Welsh mother. At the age of 12 she spent a term studying at the Tigoni Girls Academy in Limuru, Kenya. While attending Sutton High School, she became one of the youngest people to be accepted into the National Youth Theatre at the age of just 13[2]. At 14, she began working professionally in voiceover. She went on to study at Hurtwood House Sixth Form College[3].

Career[edit]

Jolly was one of only four females to be accepted on to the three year acting course at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. When she landed the lead in the school's production of All's Well That Ends Well[4], she came to the attention of the renowned Shakespeare director Andrew Hilton who went on to regularly cast her in his productions at Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory[5][6][7]. It was in the STF production of A Comedy of Errors[8] that she was nominated for the Ian Charleson Award for her portrayal of Luciana[9][10]. Jolly went on to receive considerable critical acclaim for her portrayal of Fanny Price in Tim Luscombe's stage adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Mansfield Park'[11][12][13] She continued to work on stage with innovative, immersive and experimental theatre companies including The Fitzrovia Radio Hour, The Factory Theatre Company and The Wrong Crowd[14]. In 2017 Jolly appeared in Stan Lee's Lucky Man and has gone on to feature in Doctors, McMafia and Requiem. She has voiced multiple characters in video games including 'Divinity: Original Sin' and 'The Book of Unwritten Tales 2'.
