Fiber rope is rope made from fiber.[1] Many different types of fiber, from plants or plastics, are twisted together to form yarns. A number of yarns are then fabricated into strands. And rope is finally made from a quantity of strands.

Classification of fiber[edit]

Vegetable and synthetic fiber[2] are the most common fibers used to make rope.[1]
