Fieldsports Journal is a bi-monthly magazine covering all aspects of field sports, including game shooting, fly fishing and hunting both in the UK and abroad.[1]

Published by Fieldsports Press Ltd., each issue of Fieldsports Journal features a different guest editor. Previous guest editors include former chairman of BASC Peter Glenser QC; clay shooter George Digweed MBE; chef Michel Roux Jr; sporting artist Rodger McPhail; Rt Hon. Richard Benyon; James Purdey & Sons’ Annika Purdey; co-founder of House of Bruar Mark Birkbeck; Scottish game chef Tom Kitchin, former Welsh rugby union player Gareth Edwards; Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis; Hugh van Cutsem and former English cricketer and member of the House of Lords Lord Botham of Ravensworth.

Established in October 2006 by Mike Barnes, Fieldsports Journal was previously published quarterly by BPG Media[2]. Previous editors include Marcus Janssen; Will Pocklington and Matt Kidd. The current editorial director is Selena Barr.

Fieldsports Journal has a sister publication, Gundog Journal, for anyone who works, owns or has an interest in gundogs.[3]

Fieldsports Journal was the first publication in the UK country pursuits sector to be delivered in a recycled, recyclable cardboard box.[4]

Fieldsports Journal uses a carbon neutral sheet-fed printing process, and is printed with environmentally friendly vegetable oil-based inks and chlorine-free paper which is sourced from FSC-certified forests.[5]
