Shivam Prasad Mahto, known by his self-created artist name Joss, was born on 2 September 2004 in Prayagraj, India, and raised between Prayagraj and his hometown Baberu Banda. Joss Collen, born Shivam Prasad Mahto, grew up in an environment where survival took precedence over dreams. At home, his challenges were met with doubt rather than understanding. Family members viewed his struggle as failure, expressing skepticism and discouragement at every step. Restrictions even prevented him from returning to Delhi for work, as those around him believed he was wasting his time.
