Joss started releasing music independently in 2025, dropping his debut “Echoes of You” on 1 April 2025, exclusively on YouTube. He followed it with “Drama in Aisle Five” on 18 May, and later “Made of Maybe” on 10 October, steadily shaping a style that leans across pop, rap, hip-hop, R&B, and whatever emotion hits him in the moment. His upcoming single “I Was Wrong” continues that pattern — honest, emotional, and sonically unpredictable.

Joss Collen, born Shivam Prasad Mahto, grew up in an environment where survival took precedence over dreams. From a young age, he worked various jobs to support his family, often facing companies that withheld his pay and offered only empty promises. These setbacks created a continuous cycle of frustration and hardship.
At home, his challenges were met with doubt rather than understanding. Family members viewed his struggle as failure, expressing skepticism and discouragement at every step. Restrictions even prevented him from returning to Delhi for work, as those around him believed he was wasting his time.
Despite mounting pressure and emotional turmoil, these experiences became the catalyst for his artistic journey. In a moment of vulnerability, Joss wrote his first song, "Echoes of You," as an outlet for his emotions.
