From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Film Festival International[1] is a group of festivals founded by Carl Tooney[2] and based in different locations around the world; London,[3][4][5] Nice,[6][7] Madrid,[8][9][10] Tenerife,[11][12][13] Berlin,[14][15] Milan[16][17] and Amsterdam.[18] Tenerife was the first festival to be founded as part of the group, in 2006,[19] and Berlin is the latest, founded in 2016.

Madrid International Film Festival is now a registered trademark,[20] created on 14 October 2016 and renewable in ten years, to guarantee the quality of the title and allow people to know that the Film Festival is being run by Carl, Adam, and their team.

The festivals have been founded to give independent film makers an opportunity to showcase their work, network with their peers, and submit themselves for awards.[21]

The IFF have now released a magazine,[33] called Film, The Magazine, that was launched in February 2015.[34] A new edition is launched with every festival, and covers everything from that festival.
