Finding Kim is a 2016 American documentary directed by Aaron Bear and written by Aaron Bear and Gabriel Bienczycki. It follows Kim Byford, a Seattle Transgender man as he begins to embark on his gender transition at 50 years of age.
Plot
50-year-old Kim is transitioning from female to male over a period of two years. The film follows his life, surgery, and struggles with his self-image and self-acceptance. Alongside Kim's narrative are interviews with luminaries in the field and transgender community.
