Finobe was an online project that allows people to play old versions of Roblox, such as a Roblox game client from 2012.[1] The project descended from Nobelium[2], a similar project formerly known as RBLXDev and later RBLXHue.[3][4] Nobelium, however, is a private website; Finobe, on the other hand, is open to the public.
As of March 9, 2018, Finobe has over 22,000 members.[5] Finobe also has a YouTube channel[6] with over 100,000 views in total and over 1,300 subscribers[7]. There are also many YouTubers who make, and have made, videos about/playing Finobe.[8]
Finobe is known by many users of Roblox - it has been discussed on various occasions on the now-closed Roblox forum, and it has been discussed on a video by a popular Roblox YouTuber known as legobloxian.[9]
Finobe shutdown sometime in May 2021 due to the owner being giving up.
Gameplay[edit]
On Finobe, users could upload places and have them be hosted by Finobe.[10]
Three unique Finobe clients have been released so far: the 2012 client[11], the now-discontinued[12] 2007 client[13], the also discontinued 2010 client and the 2016 client. When playing games, gameplay is identical to that of Roblox from the year of whichever client the user is playing on.
