Finshots (previously known as Finception) is an Indian financial news media company that publishes digital content on financial, business & economic affairs.[1][2] It runs a 3-minute daily newsletter offering financial and business insights in English. Based out of Bangalore, Karnataka, the company was founded by Shrehith Karkera, Bhanu Harish Gurram, Lokesh Gurram and Pawan Kumar Rai in 2019.[3][4]

In 2018, IIM Ahmedabad alumni Shrehith Karkera, Bhanu Harish Gurram, Pawan Kumar Rai and IIT Delhi alumni Lokesh Gurram started Finception- a financial blog decoding stock markets for beginners.[5] The startup was incubated by CIIE and IIM Ahmedabad. Finception started Finshots in August 2019[6] as a 3-minute daily newsletter providing financial and business insights in plain English.
Funding[edit]
Finshots (Finception) raised seed funding of Rs 4 Cr ($563K) from Rainmatter, an Indian fintech startup incubator owned and operated by Zerodha in September 2019.[7]
Products[edit]
Finshots launched an insurance platform called Ditto Insurance in February 2021.[8][9]
