Fireproof Australia
Fireproof Australia is a politically unaffiliated group of Australian citizens based in Sydney taking direct action in order to try and force the Australian government to respond urgently to the climate crisis.[1] Their main demand is that the Australian government creates a "large firefighting fleet"[2] to reduce the effects of Australian Bushfires following the devastating 2019–2020 Australian Bushfire season where 25 NSW people died[3]
The group came to public attention on 22 February 2022 by blockading Spit Bridge.[4]
