The first version of Firestorm, Ronnie Raymond, was engaged with Caitlin Snow but later merged with Dr. Martin Stein the night of the Particle Accelerator explosion. Both were thought dead until many months later when Team Flash was able to separate them and help them control their powers. Ronnie sacrificed himself to close a singularity black hole created by Eobard Thawne in season two to help Barry Allen / The Flash, causing Stein to become weakened. Characterization
Robbie Amell was cast as Ronnie Raymond, the first iteration of Firestorm introduced in the Arrowverse, in July 2014.[1] Victor Garber was cast as Ronnie's partner Victor Stein in xx. He left the series in season two, going on to star in the subsequent Arrowverse series Legends of Tomorrow and later exited that series in October 2017.[2]
Fictional biography
Ronnie Raymond
An version of Ronnie from Earth-2 seen in the episode "Welcome to Earth-2", who calls himself Deathstorm, is evil and works with Killer Frost and Reverb for Zoom. He shares many of the same abilities as Earth-1 Ronnie and is killed by Zoom for betraying him.[3][4]
Martin Stein
In the second part of the two-parter premiere episode of Legends of Tomorrow, a younger version of Stein is introduced, and even comes into contact with Garber's version of the characters at one point. Young Martin Stein is portrayed by Graeme McComb.[5]
