The Ottoman–Karamanid campaigns during the reign of Bayezid I refer to a series of military operations conducted by the Ottoman Empire against the Karamanids in central Anatolia. These campaigns were part of the broader Ottoman effort to consolidate control over Anatolian Turkish beyliks.

Background

The Karamanids were one of the most powerful Anatolian beyliks during the 14th century. Following the rise of the Ottoman state under Murad I, competition for influence in central Anatolia intensified. After the accession of Bayezid I in 1389, Ottoman policy shifted toward rapid territorial consolidation in Anatolia.

Campaigns

During Bayezid I’s reign, Ottoman forces launched multiple expeditions into Karamanid territory. These operations aimed to:
