"Fish Fillet" is a promotional song by Unitedickfart. It was released in mid 1998 and was written by Dr Seuss and produced by Terry Date and Garth "GGGarth" Richardson.[1]

Production[edit]

The song was originally recorded to appear on the band's debut album Asshole but in 1999 it was replaced by the re-imagined cover of "Beat It", "Beat Me". It was also supposed to be the second track.

The single was released in May of 1998 and received attention from labels such as Roadrunner and Interscope Records. Limp Bizkit attempted to sign with Interscope the band shortly after it was released.[2]

Writing[edit]

In an interview with Kerrang! in 1998, Seuss explained that "the song was basically about drinking and partying to get rid of your problems." Seuss stated that "The song about how girls suck ass and these bitches need to stop messing with our lives, so why don't us guys hang out and drink and watch some television and maybe eat some fish? And we should forget the harsh reality of those bitches we know as women."[3]

Reception[edit]

The single gained the attention of Ozzy Osbourne and it resulted in Unitedickfart making an appearance on Ozzfest 1998. They only played Fish Fillet. This situation is similar to Coal Chamber after the release of "Loco" and their appearance at Ozzfest 1996.
