Fist of the North Star is a 2022 musical based on the manga of the same name with book and lyrics by Ako Takahashi and music by Frank Wildhorn. The production was licensed by Horipro following the success of Wildhorn’s adaptation of Death Note.
Plot[edit]
After a nuclear war in the 1990s destroys most of civilization, the remaining humans fight over what remaining supplies and safe to drink water. Kenshiro, the protagonist, is trained in an ancient martial art named “Hokuto Shinken”, which specializes in quick fatalities by striking vital points.
Kenshiro wants to simply live his life, but is forced into the path of a hero due to the abduction of his fiancé Yuria. Over his journey, he becomes companions with a young thief, named Bat, as well as an orphan girl named Lin. Kenshiro’s main rival and opponent is his training brother Raoh. [1]
