Fixtainment
Fixtainment: - Noun - Used in Product Continuous Improvement, first coined by Edward March in 2019 Meaning: - A containment method that is so effective that it removes the financial need to 'fix' the root cause. The Root Cause should still be documented and the appropriate fix applied to future designs, but a 'fixtainment' avoids the need for a costly retrofit. Most commonly in the form of a Software update.
