Fiyelwiha is a tabia or municipality in the Dima district of the Tigray Region of Ethiopia.
History
21st Century
Tigray war
A large group of Amhara militia from Fogera participated in the Tigray War (2020-2021), where they occupied the Dima district, including Fiyelwiha. On 10 July 2021, they were defeated by the Tigray Defence Forces; several Fogera militiamen, including the head of the Peace and Security Bureau of the Fogera woreda were killed on the battlefield in Fiyelwiha.[1]
