FlashDP is a mobile web application for creating custom animated graphics. The first public release of FlashDP was in early 2013.[1] It was developed primarily for BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) users who may wish to use free animated GIF pictures as their BBM display pictures.

FlashDP was developed in early 2013 based on the concept that BlackBerry Messenger users generally prefer animated display pictures to static display pictures. [2]
