Flavio Xhaferi (born 20 May 2001, Sarandë) is an Albanian professional dancer and a member of the National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble of Albania. He is known for his performances of traditional Albanian folk dances and his appearances as a soloist in the ensemble’s repertoire.[1]
Early life and education
Xhaferi was born in Sarandë and moved to Tirana at a young age to pursue professional training in dance. He completed his full cycle of professional education at the National School of Choreography of Albania. During his artistic formation, he collaborated with several prominent Albanian choreographers, including Genci Kastrati, Master of Albanian Folk Dance and choreographer of the National Folk Ensemble, with whom he continues to work professionally.[1]
Career
In 2019, Xhaferi successfully passed the audition to become a member of the National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble of Albania, where he continues to perform as a dancer and soloist. As part of the ensemble, he has participated in numerous stage productions, folklore festivals, and artistic tours both in Albania and internationally, interpreting traditional dances from various Albanian regions.[1]
He has taken part in major national folklore events, including the National Folklore Festival of Gjirokastër, as well as international tours organized by the ensemble.[2]
