Flavobacterium flabelliforme has been proven to be psychrotolerant. It has been found in such cold places as Jame's Ross Island in Antarctica.[1]

Flavobacterium species can be found in water, soil, or milk.[2]

Flavobacterium is known to breakdown casein.[3]

The yellow color is prevalent in the Flavobacterium genus.[4]

Flavobactierum is known to digest polysaccharides. [5]
