Flexmonster Pivot Table & Charts is a JavaScript component for interactive pivot reports and business data visualization that can be embedded into a web page or a web application.[1]. The component was developed by Flexmonster team in 2008 and has been actively used by companies[2] from different industries.
General
Flexmonster Pivot Table is a JavaScript library to analyze and visualize data from JSON, CSV or custom data sources. Flexmonster Pivot works on large data volumes (SQL and NoSQL databases, MongoDB[3], Elasticsearch, OLAP cubes, and files up to 1GB). The maximum data size is limited by end-user's browsers and the capacity of their devices. The table is able to render millions of cells immediately[4].
This JavaScript tool is designed to integrate with any framework:
Flexmonster also provides integration with Python (Django and Jupyter Notebook). The component can be fully customised with the help of a full-fledged JavaScript API[8]
UI functionality
Flexmonster Pivot Table & Charts provides Excel-like features[9] to configure the report such as:
- Filtering
- Sorting
- Grouping fields in rows and columns
- Drill-down
- Drill-through
- Calculated fields
- Number formatting
- Aggregations
- Conditional formatting
Flexmonster Pivot Charts
Flexmonster provides a built-in pivot chart solution. The chart mode can be turned on via a toolbar and displays the same data configuration as the pivot grid. The charts also provide pivoting functionality: one can visualise several fields, filter records, and drill through chart segments to see the raw data and hierarchies.
Integration with third-party charting libraries
Flexmonster Pivot Table can be used with any third-party JavaScript charting library. The component has special connectors for Highcharts, amCharts, Google Charts and FusionCharts and a guide to connect to any other charting components.
