The Florida Citizens Alliance (FCA) is a conservative lobbying organization focusing on gun laws and education.

History[edit]

The FCA was formed in December 2012, in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Initially named the Southwest Florida Citizens Alliance, its first actions focused on defending gun rights before the Marco Island City Council.[1] From its early days, however, it defined its mission more broadly: local activism against all forms of federal overreach.[2]

In 2017, FCA registered with the IRS as a non-profit.

Leadership[edit]

Keith Flaugh and Rick Stevens direct the FCA.
