Flosum is an American software company that develops DevOps, data backup, and data migration tools for the Salesforce platform. The company was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in San Ramon, California.[1] Its products are distributed through the Salesforce AppExchange and the AWS Marketplace, and are built to run on the Salesforce platform.[6][7]
History
Flosum was founded in 2013 by Girish Jashnani, who serves as the company's chief executive officer.[1][2][3] The company developed a release management application for Salesforce listed on the Salesforce AppExchange,[6] and emerged as part of a category of vendors building Salesforce-specific deployment and DevOps tools.[8] In 2021, Jashnani was interviewed about the company by Salesforce MVP Jason Atwood as part of Salesforce's AppExchange Mavericks video series.[4]
In 2025, Flosum's products became available on the AWS Marketplace, where Amazon Web Services lists the company as a verified seller.[7]
Products
Flosum sells a suite of Salesforce-focused products covering deployment, data protection, and data movement:
- DevOps — a release management platform that includes version control, continuous integration, deployment automation, and governance features for Salesforce environments.[6][9]
- Backup & Archive — an automated backup, archive, and recovery solution for Salesforce data and metadata.[7][10]
- Data Migrator — a tool for moving Salesforce data between environments, such as sandboxes and production orgs.[1]
Public sector
Flosum's products are distributed to United States government customers through Carahsoft Technology Corporation, a federal information technology distributor.[9] Through Carahsoft, Flosum software is available for procurement on multiple government contract vehicles, including NASA's SEWP V and the United States Army's ITES-SW2 contracts, as well as several state and local contracts.[11]
Market and competition
Flosum operates in the Salesforce-focused DevOps tools market alongside vendors such as Copado, Gearset, and AutoRABIT.[8] A 2022 TechCrunch article on Gearset's Series B funding round identified Flosum among the principal competitors in the segment.[8]
