Ari, Suha, and Min go to the Pet Rescue Center to volunteer. Min is able to get Grumpy, a very reclusive and aggressive dog, to calm down and begin to accept the other dogs. Min is able to find a microchip on Cottonball, and Suha finds that Cottonball's real name is Tubi. Suha is able to treat most of the dogs' injuries. Ari styles the dogs, giving them interesting shapes, such as Cottonball turning into a white cube shape. Shuel goes to the Pet Rescue Center after detecting a large amount of Hopeful Energy just in time to see Tubby transform into Chess. Shuel remembers her childhood with Chess and asks him to stop collecting Hopeful Energy. Ari plays off Chess as her older brother. Mao spies on Ari and puts her and Shuel's plan into action. While trying to lure Happy across the street so that Shuel could separate Happy and Ari, Happy gets struck by a truck, and Ari becomes very depressed.
25 | "Caught Between Hope and Despair" Transcription: "Huimanggwa Jeolmang Sai" (Korean: ํฌ๋ง๊ณผ ์ ๋ง ์ฌ์ด) | May 23, 2016
Happy arrives at the Animal Medical Center's emergency room. Ari is extremely worried Happy will die. Chess confronts Trump for the attempted murder of Happy, alerting Queen Canaby to his existence. Queen Canaby wants a large blow of Hopeless Energy to extinguish the Heart Flower. Suha and Min decide not to ask Ari to go to the Fireworks Festival because of Happy, but Gichan decides to ask her because of his worry surrounding Happy. Min asks Shuel if she would like to go to the Animal Hospital to visit Happy, but Shuel rejects out of guilt. In a visit with Queen Canaby, Shuel is again taunted with the thought of being the queen of the Flowering Kingdom. Min and Suha attempt to transform into vets, but they are unsuccessful since Tubby reveals the rings are linked. If one person falls into despair, then that person's powers will not work, and the rest of their powers wouldn't work either. Shuel remembers her childhood, being discarded by her family at the palace gates, being taken in by Chess and Trump, and her potential to be the next heir to the throne. Shuel decides she has to kill Happy, but she is stopped by Tubby. Shuel confesses to Tubby about her mission, but Ari overhears, and she is in shock. Outside the hospital, Shuel reveals her plans of sabotage to Ari, and Ari's Hopeless Energy begins to emit from her body violently and rapidly.
26 | "Fireworks of Friendship" Transcription: "Ujeongui Bulkkonnori" (Korean: ์ฐ์ ์ ๋ถ๊ฝ๋์ด) | May 24, 2016
Hopeless Energy spreads across Seoul. After emitting so much Hopeless Energy, Ari faints, and Shuel continues to lie to herself about whose fault it is. Ari awakes in her room, her memory fuzzy, but she still remembers what Shuel had said. In the Flowering Kingdom, Shuel is bound up and scolded by Queen Canaby. Shuel is given another chance to redeem herself, and she is given only once chance to kill Happy and push Ari into deep despair. Shuel decides to do it, believing she has nothing to lose. While Ari, Suha, and Min are distracted by the x-rays of Happy the doctor is showing them, Shuel sneaks into Happy's room. She second-guesses herself, realizing that Ari, Suha, and Min have been the only good friends she had, and she forgets her dreams of ruling Flowering Kingdom and proceeds to help Happy with her powers instead of killing Happy. Ari, Suha, and Min find Happy alive and well, and Tubby quickly figures out that its Shuel, proceeding to tell the girls. The girls find Shuel and they thank her and forgive her. Then, hand in hand, the girls watch the fireworks, and Shuel's ring begins to glow. |
