Foluntear are an American rock band known for their 45 containing "Dancing on the Rainbow" which was featured in the movie Beverly Hills Brats.
History
The band was formed in Claremont, California in 1986. They recorded a series of 3-song demos, the majority of which were recorded and mixed by Eddie King at Kingsound Studios in North Hollywood, California.
Several of the band's songs received airplay on KROQ-FM including In My Mind's Eye, Dancing on the Rainbow, September in Rain, and Waiting in the Wings. The band routinely appeared as a featured act in KROQ-FM's local music showcase and was dubbed "LA's Duran Duran" by Richard Blade. The band's only release was a 45 which included the songs Dancing on the Rainbow and In My Mind's Eye, the first of which was featured in the 1989 film Beverly Hills Brats. The self-released record sold over 10,000 copies, most of which the band peddled in malls throughout Southern California.
