Foreign Policy: Understanding ISIS, The Middle East, and The Complexity of The Syrian War is a book written by Majid Rafizadeh (born December 25, 1980) an American political scientist, public speaker, human rights activist, Harvard University scholar and TV commentator who grew up in Iran and Syria. The book was published in 2016 by the West Wing House press. The book was picked by the Telegraph as one of the bestsellers and its new theoretical and practical methods was featured in national and international outlets in several languages including the Voice of America, CNN and BBC.[1][2]

In his book, Rafizadeh introduces new practical and theoretical framework to better understand the Middle East, the conflicts, US and Western foreign policy, global governance and ISIS. He makes his model accessible to readers from various backgrounds. He argues that modern conflicts, including the Syrian civil war, and rise of extremists groups can not be analyzed through the prism of old thoughts, but a new approach of thinking is required.
