The Formula Academy Finland is a racing series based in Finland using FIA Formula 4 cars. The series is organized by Koiranen GP[1] and is open to drivers atleast 15 years old.[2] The inaugural season was 2018.
The series uses same Abarth FTJ engined Tatuus F4-T014 car with Hankook tyres as the Northern European Zone Championship. Also the rules and regulations follow those of the NEZ Championship. All cars have identical setup in order to highlight driver skills.[2]
In 2018 season Formula Academy Finland has five events each consisting of two races. On four of the rounds it races together with Finnish Formula Ford Champioship[1] and once with Historic Formula 4.[3]
According to Marko Koiranen, promoter of the series, Formula Academy Finland will apply for Finnish Championship status from Finnish ASN AKK Motorsport for 2019 season if the inaugural season goes as planned.[2]
