Forrest Clark Johnson III
Forrest Clark Johnson III is a writer and educator in Troup County, Georgia. He is the historian for Troup County. Johnson has written and published several volumes on the history of Troup County, including Histories of LaGrange and Troup County, Genealogical and Historical Register of Troup County, Hill View and Hill View Annex Cemeteries, and People of LaGrange and Troup County.
He has co-authored two books, Treasures of Troup County: A Pictorial History and Travels Through Troup County: A Guide to its Architecture and History. The latter was scheduled for printing in 2011. Johnson had a career teaching history at Troup High School, from which he has retired.
Johnson is married and has three children and two grandchildren: Jessica Leigh Johnson Moorhead and her two children of Franklin Springs, Georgia; Forrest Clark Johnson, IV, and Christian Johnson of LaGrange, Georgia.[1]
