Forrest Gryphon Valkai (also known as RenegadeScienceTeacher), born July 22, 1992 (age 34) is an American biologist, science communicator and activist. He is known for his educational and reaction content relating to biology on social media. He hosts The Line, and now inactive podcast I'm Not Comfortable with This. Valkai attended Oklahoma State University, where he obtained a master's degree in biomedical science. He is a PhD candidate in biochemical and molecular biology[1][2]. He is a graduate of University of Tulsa.[3]

Career
Valkai uploaded his first publicly available TikTok video on June 22, 2020. His early content on TikTok featured himself talking about and responding to various concepts and questions relating to biology and current events and isuues.[6]. He posts his first YouTube video on November 2. 2020. Valkai's first YouTube videos showed himself playing with kids' science experiment kits in a series called "ScienTEST." He has made efforts to unionize with other TikTok creators in 2022[7]. He continues uploading content on various social media platforms, notably his "Reacteria" series where he reacts and argues against creationist content while explaining various evolutionary biology concepts[1].
Valkai and his friend, Ben, created a YouTube channel for their arts & culture podcast; "I'm Not Comfortable with This," on July 21, 2021. They discussed science, social topics, and politics together. The podcast was last active in December 2022 before a post announcing a indefinite hiatus was made. Content from "I'm Not Comfortable with This" has been removed on most platforms, though the podcast can still be accessed here.
On October 17, 2022, Valkai debuts as a host of SkepTalk on The Line, a call-in debate show featuring discussions on atheism, creationism, and current day issues. He is most often seen today as a co-host on "The Line" along with updates and content on his social media.
Valkai also hosts educational vacations, "Valkations," to locations including the Galapagos, Borneo, Germany, and Austria, with upcoming trips to Costa Rica and Peru.
