Fortnox

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Fortnox was a three-piece heavy rock band originally based in Carrollton, Georgia. The band performed regularly at various Atlanta rock music venues. Their popularity increased after they were chosen for Atlanta's 96Rock radio station's compilation album Home Cooking II. The album received heavy airplay on the station, resulting in Epic Records signing the band. Epic released the band's only album in 1982. The record was produced by the late Chris Tsangarides, a British producer known for his work with Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Gary Moore and others. Epic released a video of the album's single Storm Inside My Head.[1] It was featured in rotation on MTV and other music video television stations.

Following the album's release, Fortnox toured for approximately one year, often opening for larger acts. The label dropped the band in late 1983 and Fortnox disbanded.

The trio consisted of Nathan DeFoor - drums, Joel Shipp - bass and lead vocals and Rick Fowler - guitar and vocals.

In June of 2018, London-based Rock Candy Records[2] issued a CD re-issue of the original album plus four previously unreleased tracks. The "bonus tracks" were recorded by legendary British producer Eddy Offord, best known for his work with Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer.
