The Fossil Free Banking Alliance is an international fossil fuel divestment initiative launched by Bank.Green to identify and promote retail banks that have pledged not to finance new fossil fuel companies or project.[1][2]

Members

Currently, the alliance is made up of retail banks including The Co-operative Bank in the UK,[3] Beneficial State[4] and Areti Bank in the US,[5] and others.[6]

Certification

These banks have voluntarily undergone the Fossil Free Certified process, which involves submitting a signed declaration and evidence of their commitment to not financing fossil fuel companies or projects. The certification process is free of charge, and no bank can buy certification from the alliance.[7]
