Fotios Karapetsas (born 21 September 1969) is a Greek former footballer who played in the 1980s as midfielder.
Karapetsas was born and raised in Greece. When he was 10 years old, his family move to Basel and he then played his youth football with FC Basel. He joined their first team in their 1987–88 season under head-coach Urs Siegenthaler. Karapetsas played his domestic league debut for the club in the away game on 29 November 1987 as Basel won 4–0 against Zürich.[1]
His contract ran for one year and at the end of the 1987–88 Nationalliga A season, Karapetsas and the team suffered relegation. He left the club after the season. During this time Karapetsas played two games for Basel in the Nationalliga A without scoring a goal.[2]
