A short biography of her works[edit]
Al-Ragom is a passionate advocate for energy efficiency and renewable energy,[4] and her work has been instrumental in helping to shape Kuwait’s energy policy. Her specialization includes energy auditing, energy efficiency, air conditioning for high ambient, alternative refrigerants, thermochemical water splitting for hydrogen production, energy policy[5] and planning. She published articles[6] and journal papers on these topics.
Fotouh served[7] as the 2022 President[8] of the Association of Energy Engineers (Atlanta, GA). She joined the AEE[9] in 2000 and is currently a lifetime fellow member of the association.
Certifications and awards[edit]
Al-Ragom is a certified renewable energy professional (REP),[10] energy auditor (CEA),[11], sustainable development professional (CSDP)[12]) and Energy Manager (CEM[13] by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).[14]
She has been awarded the Strong Women Achievers Award, the AEE International Professional Development Award for the year 2016, Kuwait’s Distinguished Female Engineer from the Federation of Arab Engineers (2016). She is the recipient of the 2009 Energy Engineers Award of the Emirate’s Energy Award and several other awards and grants. Fotouh was featured in Women in the Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry: Personal Experiences and Achievements. United Nations Environment Programme (UNDEP). 2019.[15]
