Company History[edit]

Fox Rent A Car was founded in 1989 by Mike Jaberi, Allen Rezapour and Mark Mirtorabi with an initial fleet of only six cars, all of them Nissan Sentras, in Los Angeles, California. Fox Rent A Car maintained their one location in Los Angeles, California until 1992, with the opening of operations in Orange County, California. The location expansion continued in 1997, when Fox opened its third corporately-owned car rental location in San Diego, California. The rental car company's growth first expanded outside of California in 2002 when it opened in Phoenix, Arizona's Sky Harbor Airport. By 2017, Fox was present in 33 countries, with 115 worldwide locations, including on-airport United States locations in Florida, Texas, Hawaii, Nevada and Colorado.
