Francesco Costa (businessman)
Francesco Costa (born on November 10th 1972 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian entrepreneur and chairman of Primavera Investments, a global investment platform he co-founded in 2018, that among other companies includes Spring Studios, where he sits on the board as a Chairman and Spring Place he co-founded in 2016.[1]
Education and early career[edit]
Francesco Costa was born in 1972 and raised in Rome, Italy. His father was an Architecture Professor at Valle Giulia, La Sapienza University in Rome, a real estate developer and now is dedicated full time to the Torre San Martino wineries[2]. Francesco received an honorary degree in finance and spends his time in Switzerland, NYC, Italy and London.
He started his career co-founding ISI Holding SRL in 1995, an investment holding that operates in the financial services, insurance, media and TLC[3]. In 2006 ISI Money Transfer, part of the group ISI Holding, with a core business in the money transfer service, transaction security solutions, and documentation services quickly became the third largest in Europe[4], offering instant money transfer services for all EU foreigners[5]. In 2011 Western Union acquired ISI Money Transfer division[6].[7]
Career[edit][edit]
In 2013 Francesco joined Spring Studios as chairman of the board[8]. Spring was founded in London in the late 90's as a studio space for still and motion shoots[9], opening in 2013 in the heart of New York City's Tribeca neighborhood[10] and 2015 in Milan.[11]
In June 2016, Costa, along with his business partner Alessandro Cajrati Crivelli, founded the co-working club[12] Spring Place in the same building of its umbrella company, Spring Studios, in NYC.[13] After New York’s opening, in 2018 Francesco and Alessandro signed a lease to open Spring Place in Beverly Hills.[14] The club caters to a global community of leading professionals and entrepreneurs shaping the business of contemporary culture[15].[16]
In 2019 Francesco Costa, along with Hank Uberoi and Alok Oberoi, co-founded Primavera, an investment platform that operates in the luxury and creative industries.
In 2013 Francesco, together with Flavio Briatore, co-founded Billionaire Lifestyle, a platform dedicated to service and hospitality.[17]

Francesco Costa built his reputation with his media company, Migreat.[18] and My Own Media supporting migrants and immigrants in Europe.
Francesco has been an initial investor in Formula E and in 2014, along with Leonardo DiCaprio and Gildo Pallanca Pastor, co-founded the Venturi Formula E Team in Monaco.[19]
