Francesco Lippi (born March 23, 1968) is an Italian macroeconomist who is a professor at LUISS university and a senior fellow of the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance. Since August 2021 he is the Chief editor of The Economic Journal.[1] His research focuses on monetary economics, where he has published extensively about the propagation of monetary shocks[2] and monetary institutions[3][4]. His research is extensively cited in macroeconomics[5] and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals in economics, such as the American Economic Review[6],[7], Econometrica[8][9],  the Quarterly Journal of Economics[10], the Review of Economic Studies[11][12]. Lippi was awarded several international grants, among which a prestigious Advanced Grant by the European Research Council in 2012[13].
